Integrity
Integrity is something we hear very little of today. No one can take integrity away from us. If we lose our integrity, it is because of a decision we make. It cannot be taken away from us. It also makes us stop and think of what our generation is suffering because of the sins of those who have lived before us. What will the next generation have to suffer because of what this generation has sown?
The word integrity has to do with being whole or complete. It is being what we should be in the eyes of God. If we compare our lives to the biblical description of what a Christian should be, we will find we are lacking in our integrity. The Bible says in Colossians 2:10, "And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power." We are complete in Christ because we find all we need in the Person of Jesus Christ.
In many churches today, the banner has been lowered, the standards have been reduced, and there is a refusal to challenge people with qhat God declares to be biblical Christianity. In doing so, people are taught absolutely nothing about integrity. The costless, crossless "faith" in not biblical.
So the question is now posed to each of us, does it mean something to me to be a person of integrity? I certainly desire to be that person and I pray you do as well. May we be complete in Christ as we find all that we need in Him.
