Just Say It, Part 2
Things both negative and positive that we have difficulty saying:
I am Thankful!
Why is so hard for some of us to say, "thank you'? Perhaps there are numerous reasons, but one that stands out to me is the spirit of entitlement. When you think you are so special that everybody owes you, you are likely also to be an ingrate.
Suppose we take inventory. Try keeping count of how may times a day you say, "thank you." Oh, and how many "thank you" notes have you written this month? Come on; let's practice! "Thank you; thank you; thank you!"
I am blessed!
When a Christian realizes what he possesses, it should be easy to say, "I am blessed." I am saved, I am secure, I am Heavenbound! I get answers to prayer, and I am in the service of the King of Kings. What a privilege it is to have a Heavenly Father Who loves me nd watches over me.
Let's tell the world over and over again, "I am blessed."
I am happy!
When anger, bitterness, ingratitude, entitlement and a whole host of other sins are dominating your life, you will not be a happy person. Too many of us, including Christians, are drama-laden. We are not satisfied unless we have something about which to rant and rave.
Joy in the heart will reflect itself with happiness on your countenance. you are aware, aren't you, that your face is a barometer of your heart? So get yourself right with the Lord and say it, "I am happy."
So come on, my brothers and sistes let's learn to say what we need to say. They may be hard to pronounce at first, but in if you get started ( once or twice a day) and then practice, practice, practice, you'll like the results(and so will your family and friends). Amen!
